Our Origin

Born from real client work, not a boardroom

I spent years sitting across from families navigating some of the most complex conversations wealth creates — succession planning between siblings who didn't agree, governance for family businesses spanning three generations, and the quiet tension that builds when financial planning never addresses what the family actually needs to talk about.

The tools I had were built for transactions, not relationships. CRMs designed for sales pipelines. Portfolio software built for traders. Compliance systems that checked boxes but never helped me serve clients better. Nothing connected the financial plan to the family conversation.

So I built what I wished existed. The SCALE Steward™ methodology came first — a five-phase framework for facilitating meaningful family wealth conversations, born from hundreds of real engagements. Then the platform followed: AI-powered intelligence, compliance automation, and portfolio oversight, all built around the stewardship model rather than bolted on after the fact.

SCALE Family Office™ is not a product company that hired advisors to consult. We are practicing advisors who built the technology ourselves, validated every feature in real client work, and continue to use it every day. That difference shows up in every detail.

Chris is a practicing wealth advisor, technologist, and the creator of the SCALE Steward™ methodology. A former Division I athlete at Furman University and lifelong student of human performance, Chris spent over a decade advising multi-generational families before recognizing that the industry’s tools were built for transactions, not relationships. He built SCALE Family Office to bridge that gap — combining institutional-grade AI with a proprietary stewardship framework born from real client work. Chris holds the Series 65 and leads CS Advisors alongside Pau and Steve.
